The Light: knowledge, understanding, light at the end of the tunnel. You can see it at the Opening. The end, the start of the SS? (You can actually see it from opening using the TANPR) "Without deviating an inch, draw a line, and you will not regret what you did. "TANPR is the most important line in the game. Drawn from Bourges to Dabo. Then this: Haguenau is on the TANPR. You have your zone. [Confirmed by ETERNITY in capitals. HAGUENAU is at 2nd limit of line, Bourges 1st limit. (As per madit - "ETERNITY HAS NO LIMITS ... BUT IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE GAME, IT HAS TWO!")] The rest of the clues are for false leads and a way to build the Supersolution. I "reviewed" the image from north/west facing Sentinel, but found nothing. Later, i saw 3 towns in line, "Between them, there would be only two intervals if they were aligned." a Triangle.

First line from 520 "Between them, there would be only two intervals if they were aligned." a Triangle. Look at intersection of the "Line we will not regret" and "Rue du Triangle" (our exact starting spot, a road just east of the city centre)

The Supersolution is just directions to the cache from the exact point created by intersecting "Between them, there would be only two intervals if they were aligned." which is "Rue du Triangle" with TANPR.

OPENING

My first, first half of the half of the first age,
Precedes my Second and Third, seeking their way.
My Fourth is inspired, my Fifth is in rage,
But, without protest, follows my Fourth and the roman alpha.
My Sixth is hidden at the limits of ETERNITY.
My Seventh, standing, spits his venom.
To find my all, just be wise,
Because the Truth, in truth, will not be an oracle’s affair.

This reveals the town of Bourges to start the game. Known as the "Opening"
Opening indicates some sort of door needs to be opened. An open door lets light shine in. Light is often understood to be knowledge. Also another way to say "start"
The final 2 lines suggest to just follow simple thinking, no need for magic.

Start in Haguenau, the town at the "extremities" of the 3 towns listed on the Sentinels. In capitals refers to HAGUENAU. -How written on map.

Gives the game measure, most likely 33cm, but much of this clue is mysterious.

_____My Answer_____

FIRST STEP…

Where you want,
By the nag and the coachman.
But where you must,
By the compass and the foot.

The game measure and game direction. It also tells us how to travel.
By the ross and the coachman simply means travel by vehicle.
By the compass and the foot means you will need to walk the final part.
Ross is a normal word for "horse", alongside Pferd, in many parts of southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
This is backed up by artwork showing horse and carriage, and a man walking.
Critically, the compass points N to the South. This will be needed later.
drive and then walk

_____My Answer_____

IT’S THE RIGHT PATH ONLY WHEN THE ARROW AIMS AT THE HEART

My first by gaiety is multiplying.
My Second offers you space,
My Third is of the air, and my Fourth is of the water.
When he’s lying down, my Fifth snores.
My sixth is worth a hundred, and my seventh is a node.
My eighth has the taste of the laurel,
while my ninth, in astonishment, is dragging.
My tenth is still naked when he has an affair.
My eleventh, finally, is the unknown.

Find my All, and through the Opening you will see the light

A RONCEVAUX refers to a war in 778.
A RONCEVAUX seems to refer to the war of 778, where "the Basques ambushed and totally wiped out the rear guard of the Frankish army", Not the "Heart", therefore it is a "false trail" A RONCEVAUX seems to also support this as the A in front suggests an event rather than a place. The artwork also shows a sword in the rock. (It looks a bit like a head)
The Basques ambushed and totally wiped out the rear guard of the Frankish army", Not the "Heart", therefore it is a "false trail" or "the wrong way"

Gives 10 towns in alphabetical order, the final key is A=0, B=1 etc., which is used as a key to solve the next clue. So it means Bourges will be worth 1, Cherbourg worth 2, Dieppe worth 3, Epernay worth 4, Forbach worth 5, Gerardmer worth 6, Héricourt worth 7, Issoire worth 8, Jarnac worth 9, Angers worth 0.

_____My Answer_____

THE RIGHT WAY IS THE WAY OF THE OPPOSITE WAY, AND INVERSELY

19.9.13.12.15.19.18.21.15.9.19 will be worth 1
12.15.19.18.21.15.9.19.18.9.13.8.15.4 will be worth 2
9.13.16.16.9.13.9.5.18 will be worth 3
25.1.12.14.18.9.13.16.9.13 will be worth 4
8.15.4.1.12.9.19.18.15.1.6 will be worth 5
18.9.13.13.5.18.18.1.12.18.9.13.12.15.19 will be worth 6
20.18.21.15.15.4.9.18.9.13.8 will be worth 7
9.13.18.9.15.19.19.9 will be worth 8
15.4.1.12.14.18.1.12.10 will be worth 9
19.18.9.13.12.15.19.14.1.12 will be worth 0

This reveals 10 values used in decoding the next clue.
Drawing a line around the 10 towns reveals a shape that travels clockwise around France.
Clockwise around France "the city"
Because it says clockwise is the wrong way, we must go anti-clockwise.

The key of the last clue is used to produce an unsolved cluephrase, ‘The key is hidden on a black perched ship.’

_____My Answer_____

WHEN AL-MAR ALLIES WITH PRENESTE’S FIBULA, DARKNESS SHINES

BDI, J. DF, F. CFD. BJ. HJ. EA, B. BC. E. DC, B.
CDI, B. BAB, H. BE.
CD. FB. BCG, J. BIG D. BE. BG. BJD, B. DB. BGH C.
BC. E.

The key is on a black perched ship.
The Black Perched Ship is "Chapelle St Leon" (Looks like it in the right light, viewed from Dabo) It is also the "becalmed Nave" Becalmed means no wind can affect it. Nave means ship, it also means part of a church.
The symbol originally proposed for Einsteinium was just E, but when IUPAC approved the name in 1957 they changed the symbol to Es to conform with their new rule that said all newly named elements should have symbols with two letters. Source
The 's' after the E (Einsteinium) is not used. Go south [7.1km] after (remember compass direction - go North)

Gives the town of Carignan, where we must take a rightangle to find a four-centred Spiral at 185km.

_____My Answer_____

UT QUEANT LAXIS

At 2424-42-424-44-224-24-42-24, take the orthogonal.
To find the Spiral with four centers,
560,606 measures is far
But by the Mega it is a million times less.

This clue reveals the town of Carignan. Draw the orthogonal line. (line 1)
The spiral is the road up to the "Chapelle St Leon" on top of the hill. Using 33cm as a measure, it is about 8000 measures from Dabo to the top of the hill. You also start with your back to the west.
turning right, and finding the "reliable certain position"
The reliable certain position is the large roundabout at the North end of town.

_____My Answer_____

So lend a bow to Apollo:
from there, he will count 1969,697 measures towards the zenith.
In a 46,241,860th fraction of sidereal day,
his line will fall.
Hurry to find the arrow.

This clue reveals the town of Golfe Juan. We shoot an arrow 559km, but which direction? Draw a line (line 2) of radius of 559km with centre at Golfe Juan.
Apollo goes to 650m altitude and shoots, but which direction? A "siderial day" is a rotation of the earth of 360deg. This suggests a circle. Apollo shoots from an altitude at 650m, guess what, it's "Chapelle St Leon" again. (You have to find an arrow at 650m height, where it hits land, travelling horizontally. Really, only the Pyrenees are at that altitude on that circle)
Take the D72 (Grand Rue)
It could be said that travelling at 650m altitude is taking the high road. Grand Rue is High Street.

We are at Cherbourg, with England at our back, and we must look for the Opening, drawing lines on the map.

_____My Answer_____

AD AUGUSTA PER ANGUSTA

When, at Carusburc, you will have Albion in the back,
Look for the Opening that reveals the celestial light.
Do not wait, do not ask for your rest, But get ready to walk on the water.
Twice, Neptune will come to your rescue And lead you away from the icy Septentrion.
Pursue your way and do not interrupt your journey
Before seeing through the opening, the becalmed Nave.
Without deviating an inch, draw a line, and you will not regret what you did.

This clue reveals the town of Cherbourg. Then Bourges. (opening) Draw the TANPR (line 3) from Bourges to the intersection of the lines from 500 & 420. (this is Dabo)
"Without deviating an inch, draw a line, and you will not regret what you did." Draw this line and extend past Dabo.
Go to (Jesus walked on the water. Water (Neptune) and Light (Apollo) makes a rainbow > The Flood in the Bible) > Biblisheim > take narrow road away from England (it does become narrow)

Having solved the previous 9 clues we have found the mysterious ‘Sentinels.’ We review them at 2.64km from the end location of the previous clue.

_____My Answer_____

WHEN ALL IS REVEALED

Back to the Ponant, seek the Sentinels.
At 8000 measures from there, they are waiting for you.
Find them, you need to review them.

The Rocher De Dabo toposcope, topograph, or orientation table.

From Dabo, we go to the lookout (Rocher De Dabo) we need to examine. We find 3 towns listed, "Haguenau, Hochfeldon & Marmoutier" go 2.64km east

A final clue suggesting information that will help us when we dig for the buried owl prize.

_____My Answer_____

EARTH OPENS

Between them, there would be only two intervals if they were aligned.
But this would be too easy a game!
Now that you have undone all the yarns,
Doubt is the last torment that will be inflicted on you.
Because it is the rule of this cruel game:
Alone, you have to find where to land your shovel.
Show your respect for Mother Nature,
And before getting away, close the injury.

Answers

You must have found the solution to the previous puzzle to decipher this one.
The visual has a symbolic dimension.
In some form, what the personal pronoun "them" represents has already been encountered in one of the previous puzzles, and it is something tangible.
The meaning of the word "game", in the second line of the text, is specific to this enigma.
The "doubt" and the "torment" of the fourth line of the text are concomitant. (connected with something else)
The meaning of "son" in the third line of the text is indeed that of "strings, ropes" (and not that of "male children of a family").
These threads are limited in number but precise, and have no connection with the title of another enigma.
The words "this cruel part" allude to this treasure hunt.
The expression "carry your shovel" means "to dig a hole".
"Show your respect" and "heal your wound" refer to one and the same action.
"Mother Nature" is not luminous, and it does not concern any of the previous puzzles.
His "injury", too, does not concern a previous enigma.

Final instuctions to Dig for the Treasure!
"Between them, there would be only two intervals if they were aligned." is a triangle and refers to the start of SS.
Show your respect for Mother Nature, Fibonacci Sequence, 1,1,2,3, refers to final direction to go to dig.
Walk 75m from centre of road, and 10m off track from centre of track.

QUESTION n°38 OF 2001-11-20
TITLE: POINT OF VIEW
I'M TOLD THAT YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THERE IS NO POINT OF VIEW OR POINT OF VIEW IN REAL HUNTING? THANK YOU MAX
THERE IS NO GUIDANCE TABLE TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION TO DECRYPT THE ENIGMA. THIS IS IN THIS FORM THAT I SAID THIS. FRIENDSHIPS -- MAX

Extras

Max spoke of "false leads"
The False Leads...? > No, False Tracks Are Classic. (Max)

There are only 2 puzzles for which you need an item from the previous puzzle.

650: Max made some suggestion that this clue and the next clue merge.

Sentinels

What is another word for Sentinel? 1, 2 sentry, guard, watch, lookout. (Google "What is another word for Sentinel?")

They are engraved with letters and numbers, they are not shapeless or their layout is not arbitrary.

I Said That We Met Them For The First Time In This Enigma, And That Their Number Has To Be Found By Decrypt In Another Enigma. That's All. Friendships -- Max

All I Can Tell You (And Repeat) Is That If You Are In Front Of The First, You Can See The Others . I Can't Say Anything More, Sorry, Arthur. Friendships -- Max

The Single Fact Of Having To Review Them Should Already Put A Chip In Your Ear! Friendships -- Max

I Can Only Answer What I Already Said: Their Symbols On The Card Are Identical. Nothing More, Sorry. Friendships -- Max

A few days ago I saw a Madit that Sentinels cannot be seen from 8000 measures. (Cannot see where I saw that yet)
The adverb "there" in the second line alludes to where you are, with your back to the ponant, at this stage of the game. From this place, it would be impossible for you to physically see the sentries if you were there.

Supersolution & Remainders

There Is No Remainder In "B"

The remainders inevitably appear in the decryption which leads to the solutions of the enigmas.

Yes, Each Remainder Is Used Only Once. Yes, It Is Better To Order These Elements Following The Order Given By The "B" (I Given An Explanation On This Subject 3 Or 4 Days Ago). Friendships -- Max

When you have the "second card", the remainders are more obvious to appreciate.

The remainders are undetectable enigma by enigma; there's no way to detect leftovers along the way.

The remainders you will understand when you are at the end of the course. A synonym for "remainders" is "recoupment(s)", not "synthesis". Compared to a police investigation, the "synthesis" is what makes it possible to say "the guy is guilty", while the "cross-checking" is what makes it possible to say that this clue holds water or not.

In Max's Other Hunts
In these treasure hunts, Max used various permanent markers: a cross, a reservoir, an obelisk, a small oratory, a well, a panel, a statue, or a menhir, for example. He also used trees, stumps, which are not really perennial: indeed, even a centuries-old tree is fragile in a storm. It is then necessary to count a certain distance (between 74 cm and 6 meters) in a certain direction (E/S/N/O or left/right), from the permanent marker, to find the spot. So if there is a marker (which Max has never confirmed), it must be not far from the spot.

The Expression

Someone who catches the expression will not necessarily hit the trigger right away, but will say something is happening, but they will really touch the thing, they will have a 90% chance of 'to have the trigger and to understand, but this expression gets through.

The find is supported and underlined by an expression in the book which no one has analyzed for 30 years.

There is an expression that we have under our noses and we do not understand that its meaning in its rigorous sense is a determining element of the solution of the game.

If we do not understand this expression, do not perceive it, we cannot find the solution, it is strictly impossible.

The person who will understand at some point that this expression has real importance, probably, will not take very long to realize that the Super Solution is within their reach and from there things should unfold quite quickly.

The expression was used spontaneously during the 2 p.m. vocal [Note Bioposis: therefore before 35 minutes of part5]
Youtube Link

We cannot have the trigger without the expression, which cannot be deduced by findings.

The trigger is linked to an expression and the understanding of an expression, there is an expression which tells you what to do if you know how to hear and understand it.
